1. University students have accepted the e-zwich biometric card as the way to go, as the queue to get their cards. Over 33,000 of them have been issued with the smart cards in an exercise held on the three campuses as part of the efforts to speed up patronage of the marts. |
2. Payment of loans to students in various tertiary institutions in the country will soon be done through the e-zwich biometric smart card. Talks are currently on-going between officials of the Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited (GHIPSS) and the Students Loan Trust for the payment to be effected through the smar tcards |

As part of the Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited (GhIPSS) core objectives which includes the dissemination of the e-zwich, the first Banking Fair was held at the Accra Mall. It was the first DCC (Direct Consumer Contact) to be organized. |
4. THE Ghana Tourist Board (GTB) has organized a day’s seminar for accommodation establishments in the Tema Municipality on the application of the E-zwich biometric smartcard that provides access to banking services. |
